Dr. Kendall Krug is a graduate of Fort Hays State University and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and currently is in private practice in Hays, KS.
He completed additional training in Low Vision Rehabilitation at the New York Lighthouse for the Blind.
Krug received the 2013 Vision Service Award from the KS School for the Deaf and Blind. Krug is the Low Vision Consultant to the KS Department of Children and Families and is a low vision provider for the KS School for the Deaf and Blind - KanLOVKids Program.
In 2010, Krug was appointed by KS Governor Parkinson to the Kansas Advisory Committee for the Blind and Visually Impaired and is currently the Chairman of this committee.
He is a past recipient of the Legislative Service Award, the Distinguished Service Award from the Kansas Optometric Association, and the Eleanor Wilson Award from the Kansas Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired for enhancing public awareness and understanding of visual impairments and blindness.
Dr. Krug has had articles published in the Journal of the American Optometric Association and in Review of Optometry and was a Co-Investigator of a National Eye Institute funded research project on "Clinical Decision Making in the Care of Patients with Chronic Vision Impairment."
Dr. Jones is a native of Lenora, Kansas. She graduated from Kansas
State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics. She is a 2003 graduate of the University of Houston-College of
Optometry in Houston, Texas. She completed a family practice
externship at York Eye Associates in Gainesville, Texas and an
Ocular Disease rotation at the Eye Center of Texas in Houston,
Texas. While at the University of Houston, her emphasis was in
ocular disease and pediatrics. She is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, InfantSee, and the Ocular Nutrition Society. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Hays Area Children Center and is a past Board member of CASA of the High Plains. She serves on the Administrative Board at the Hays First United Methodist Church, where she also teaches an adult Sunday
school class. She is a member of PEO Chapter BQ and of Women's
Investment Club. Dr. Jones resides in Hays with her husband, Dr. Jarrod Jones, and their two daughters. Outside of the passion for their professions, the couple enjoys spending time with their family. Together they enjoy snow skiing, family vacations, and days trips to the family farm.
Deb is an Ellis County, country gal growing up around the Catherine, Kansas area which is approximately 12 miles from Hays. In 1985 she became American Board Certified in Opticianry and has maintained her certification since that time. She is also active in the Kansas Opticians Association.
In 2001 she became certified as a Paraoptometric Assistant. She
enjoys meeting and helping the public with their eye care needs.
Outside of the office, Deb keeps busy with helping on the family
farm. She enjoys spending time spoiling her nieces and nephews,
playing cards, bowling and dancing. She is active in the Polka and
Square Dance Clubs. If and when a moment of quiet time arises, a
novel will be read or knitting/crocheting project will be started. She enjoys working in the yard during the summer months.
